"Having Good Will" is a look book created using pieces from Good Will and Consignment Stores, to showcase the oversized trend that is taking over the fashion industry. This isn't just a look book; it's a way to showcase the idea that we as human beings are becoming incredibly wasteful. Landfills after landfills are being filled with clothing we throw away after one use, there are an incredible amount of emissions being produced from factories that create fast fashion goods, and there are millions of people being forced to work in appalling conditions, all because we want to wear the latest trends. Yet when the trends cycle out so does our wardrobe. So we fuel the fast fashion industry further by buying more, spending less, and wasting it all.
This look book is a way to show that we can wear the newest trends without buying brand new items. Instead, we can look to recycled clothing to fill the need of being on top of what's hot, and what's not. By taking advantage of second-hand stores we are not only saving money, but also lowering the demand for new fast fashion apparel thus fewer landfills are filled, fewer emissions are released into our atmosphere, and fewer people are working in unsafe work environments.
